I think my hair is probably one of my best accessories, that’s why I like to take care of it as much as I can. As many of you know, I moved from California to New York City at the end of 2011. As soon I moved to Manhattan, I noticed a lot of changes with my hair; I think it has to do with the weather, pollution, water, etc. So, my hair routine definitely changes when I’m in sunny California and when I’m in freezing New York. Lately I’ve been using L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5 products because it helps repair damaged hair- especially now that my hair isn’t the same since I added highlights.

Yo creo que mi cabello es uno de mis mejores accesorios, por eso me gusta cuidarmelo bastante. Como muchas de ustedes saben, me mude de California a Nueva York al final del 2011. Y ni bien me mude a Manhattan, mi cabello empezo a cambiar mucho; creo que tiene que ver con el clima, el agua, la contaminacion etc. Por esa razon, el cuidado de mi cabello cambia dependiendo si estoy en California o Nueva York. Ultimamente he estado usando los productos de L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5 por que ayuda a reparar el cabello maltratado, especialmente ahora que mi cabello no esta igual desde que me agregue rayitos.
My West Coast hair routine:
As you can tell I took these pictures when I was in California and let me just tell you that my hair stayed like that all night. I think my hair loves California! Every time I’m there my hair has more volume, the curls stay longer and it just looks prettier! Like I said before, my hair routine changes when I’m on the West Coast, I use less products and it takes me less time to style it. All I do is shampoo and condition my hair with L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5. Then, I apply a heat protection spray such as L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray and let it air dry. I style it as usual and to finish things off I spray a shine serum such as Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil to give my hair extra glow!
My East Coast hair routine:
Now, when I’m in New York my hair changes completely. I don’t think it likes the cold and humidity here, because it gets frizzy, has no volume and the curls don’t stay. So, I have to use more products and it takes me longer to style it. Do you East Coast girls have the same problems? I hope I’m not the only one! When I’m in NYC I shampoo my hair with L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5 and then I apply Total Repair 5 Damage – Erasing Balm – I’ve been using this conditioner for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. Then, I apply a volumizing spray and a heat protection spray such as L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray . Then I let it air-dry and I style as usual. Since my curls don’t like to stay in place while on the East Coast, I finish things off with Elnett hair spray. I’ve been using this hair spray for years and it is one of my favorites!
Mi rutina del cabello cuando estoy en la Costa Oeste:
Como se podran dar cuenta estas fotos me las tome cuando estuve en California y les cuento que mi cabello se mantuvo asi toda la noche. Creo que a mi cabello le encanta California. Ya que cada vez que estoy alla mi cabello tiene mas volumen y se ve mas bonito. Como lo he dicho antes, mi rutina de cabello cambia cuando estoy en la Costa Oeste. Uso menos productos y me toma mucho menos arreglarmelo. Lo unico que hago es me lo lavo y acondiciono con L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5 luego me aplico un spray protector de calor como L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray y lo dejo secar al aire. Al final me lo arreglo como de costumbre y para terminar me aplico un serum brillo como Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil para que me de mas brillo.
Mi rutina de cabello cuando estoy en la Costa Este:
Ahora, cuando estoy en Nueva York mi cabello cambia completamente. Creo que no le gusta el frio y la humedad de la Gran Manzana, por que no tiene volumen y los rizos no se quedan en su lugar. Por lo que cuando estoy aqui tengo que usar mas productos y me toma mucho mas tiempo de arreglarmelo. ¿Ustedes que viven en la Costa Este tienen los mismos problemas? Espero no ser la unica. Cuando estoy en Nueva York me lavo y acondiciono el cabello con L’Oreal Paris Advance Haircare Total Repair 5 y luego me aplico Total Repair 5 Damage – Erasing Balm - he estado usando este acondicionador por varias semanas y me gusta como me deja el cabello. Luego me aplico un spray que da volumen y un spray protector de calor como L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray. Despues dejo que mi cabello se seque al aire libre y me lo arreglo como de costumbre. Y como mis rizos no se quedan en su lugar cuando estoy en la Costa Este, me hecho la laca de Elnett. La he usado por años y es una de mis preferidas.
