One of the most frequently asked questions on my blog and in social media is how do I get my soft curls. I think it’s my signature look right? I mean that’s how I wear my hair most of the time. To be honest with you it only takes me about 5 minutes to do it! Well, that’s after I let my hair air-dry – I barely use the blow dryer because I think it can damage your hair.
So in case you are wondering how I get my soft curls here we go!
- After I wash my hair I apply a heat protection spray such as L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray and then I comb my hair afterwards to make sure that the heat protection is evenly spread. This particular spray is great for me because it also has UV protection to combat fading color.
- If I want more volume I spray my roots with volumizing spray but I don’t do this everyday. Then, I let my hair air-dry for an hour.
- After my hair is completely dry I use my 1-1/4 or ¾ inch (the one I’m using on these pictures) curling iron. Lately I’ve been using the smaller barrel because the weather is colder and for some reason my curls don’t stay in place as they used to. Remember the smaller the barrel, the tighter the curls.
- Then I take an inch portion of hair and wrap it around the barrel of the curling iron from the end to the roots. I hold it for less than 15 seconds. I repeat the process until my whole hair is curled. If it’s easier for you, separate your hair into four sections, two in the front and two in the back. Then curl your hair by sections.
- When I’m done curling all my hair I separate the curls with my fingers and spray a shine serum or Elnett hair spray depending on where I’m headed. For everyday I don’t apply anything.
And there you go, that’s how I style my hair in less than ten minutes. How do you style your hair?
Una de las preguntas que mas me hacen en mi blog y en las redes sociales es como me ondulo el cabello. ¿Creo que es mi signature look no creen? Es que la verdad así lo llevo la mayor parte del tiempo. Y para ser sincera solo me toma como 5 minutos arreglármelo. Bueno, eso después que me dejo secar el cabello al aire - casi no uso la secadora ya que creo que te malogra mucho el cabello.
Así que si quieren saber como me ondulo el cabello, aquí les cuento.
- Después de lavarme el cabello, me aplico un spray protector del calor como este de L’Oreal Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray. Luego me peino para asegurarme que el protector del calor se extienda por todas partes.
- Si quiero volumen me aplico un spray para dar volumen, pero ojo, esto no lo hago todos los dias. Y luego me dejo secar el cabello al aire por una hora.
- Despues que mi cabello esta completamente seco, uso mi pinza (tenaza) rizadora de 11/4 o 3/4 (la que estoy usando en estas fotos) pulgadas. Ultimamente he estado usando la pinza de 3/4 ya que por X razón, los rizos no se quedan en su lugar con la otra pinza. Recuerden que mientras mas pequeño sea el barril, mas delgados los rulos. Y mientras mas grande sea la tenaza, mas sueltas las ondas.
- Luego agarro un pedazo de mi cabello (por lo general una pulgada) y lo empiezo a ondular de la punta a la raiz por 15 segundos. Repito este proceso hasta que todo mi cabello este ondulado. Si se te hace mas fácil, separate el cabello en cuatro secciones, dos adelante y dos atrás. Y asi te ondulas el cabello por secciones.
- Cuando termino de ondularme el cabello me lo separo usando mis dedos y dependiendo a donde vaya, me echo laca como esta de Elnett de L'Oreal o un spray de brillo. Si no voy a ningún lado no me hecho nada para que mi pelo respire.
Y asi es mis Queens como me arreglo el cabello en menos de 10 minutos. ¿Y tu como te lo arreglas?
