Color Blocking

I hope you had a great weekend! On Saturday, I hang out with one of my best friends, Mercedes, and we had a great time!! Today my mom and I went to church, had lunch and run errands after! Overall it was a fabulous weekend.  Oh, I also rearranged my shoes and jewelry, it literally took me 5 hours!!!

Espero que hayas tenido un súper fin de semana! Yo la pase super, el sábado sali con una de mis mejores amigas, Mechita, y hoy la pase con mi mama todo el día. Que te puedo decir .. mejor no la pude haber pasado. A, también arregle mis zapatos y joyas, no puedo creer que me tomo como 5 horas. Pero felizmente ya acabe con eso.

Onto the outfit ... besides hats, I am also obsessed with blazers. I am loving this white one that I got at Zara.  I wore it to the Hispanicize event last week, to see pics click here.  I decided to pair it with this cobalt blue skirt and this H&M top.  Loving mixing bright colors - color block all the way!

Te cuento que ademas de sombreros, también me fascinan los sacos. Este saco blanco de Zara es uno de mis preferidos.  Me lo compre hace 2 semanas y ya me lo he puesto varias veces!! Cargo Pants

I have been wearing a lot of skirts and dresses lately, so I wanted to mix it up a little.  That's why I decided to wear this cargo pants yesterday. OMG now that I think about it, I wore this pants on my first blog post, of course I styled them different. To see how I wore them click here.

I have never been a watch kind of girl! I remember that my parents got me one in high school that I loved for 1 year and then I stopped wearing it.  But, for the past few moths I have been wanting to get a big gold watch, I have had no luck until I saw this Michael Kors gold rose watch. OMG I fell in love and had to get it!!!

Hispanicize 2011

Last week I had the pleasure to attend Hispanicize 2nd Annual PR & Social Media Conference at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel. I had an amazing time and met very nice and talented people. It was the perfect place to meet other bloggers, journalists, PR agencies, social media experts and more.

I was so excited when Manny Ruiz, CEO of Hispanicize and Papi Blogger, invited me to be part of a panel of fashion & beauty bloggers. I had the best time talking about my baby "Flor de Maria Fashion," my TV segments and my love for fashion.  To be honest with you, I was little nervous before the sessions started, but as soon as the microphones were on the nerves went away!

La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de asistir a la segunda Conferencia Anual de Relaciones Publicas y Medios Sociales Hispanos de Hispanicize en el hotel Renaissance de Hollywood. Durante los tres dias que duro la conferencia, tuve la oportunidad de conocer gente muy talentosa y linda. Era el lugar perfecto para conocer a otros blogueros, agencias de relaciones publicas, periodistas y mas.

Pasadena Flea Market

I am taking a break from wearing hats, well ....  not really, haha.  I just realized that I have been wearing a lot of hats lately.. so I am going to let my hair loose for the next couple of days!  On Sunday my friend and fellow fashion blogger Kristen and I decided to take some pictures by her house.  I couldn't help but fell in love with this house - it was gorgeous.  Then, we went to the Pasadena Flea Market - it was my first time - and we had the best time!

Te cuento que voy a dejar a mis lindos sombreros descansar un rato; bueno ...  siquiera hasta la proxima semana, jajaja. Es que recien me doy cuenta que la ultima semana me los he puesto hasta para ir a dormir, jaja, bueno eso es broma! Aprovechando que estaba en Los Angeles,  el domingo mi amiga Kristen y yo nos fuimos al mercado de Pasadena.  La verdad es que había escuchado maravillas de ese lugar y me moria por ir.  Eso si, como buenas blogueras, antes tomamos unas fotos para nuestros blogs ... dime si esta casa no es una maravilla!

Once at the Pasadena Flea Market I was trying to get my hands on some vintage stuff.  Mission accomplished ... because I got two amazing vintage dresses - very 70's.  A little alteration and they will be perfect.  I also got a gorgeous jacket and the earrings below!

Me hicieron recordar a los que mi mama usaba en esa epoca.  Eso si, los tengo que mandar al costurero a que me los arregle, porque no me quedan muy bien que digamos. Girl Time!

I'm sorry I have been a little MIA ... like I told you on facebook and twitter I went to LA for a conference.  I had the best time - I will do a post about it in the next couple of days - I learned so much and met so many talented people.  After the conference I met up with one of my girls, Kristen, and had a fabulous time! I met Kristen in NY through one of my bffs Lizette. I remember the first time I met her, she reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw - you know I am obsessed with her!!!  Kristen has the best style ever, I went nuts looking at all her jewelry and shoes!!! She has a fashion blog too, Style Wax Poetic. You definitely need to check it out!!!

Yo se, he estado un poco perdida ultimamente. Pero como te conte en facebook y twitter estuve en la conferencia de Hispanicize en Los Angeles y estuve a mil. Casi no tuve tiempo ni de dormir, jajaja, en serio ... no estoy bromeando. En un par de dias voy a hacer un post con todas las fotos que tome .... empezando con las de Minnie y Mickey!!!!  En fin, despues de mi conferencia me encontre con mi amiga Kristen, es divina y tiene un estilo barbaro. What can I say? I am really loving brights right now..... I feel like my closet looks like a candy store, hahaha.  As I told you last week, I went to Zara and went absolutely nuts. Most of the stuff I got was bright like this top and skirt!!! Are you loving the bright colors?
