Floral prints have been all over the Spring Summer 2010 runways and are very trendy right now. I love wearing colorful, vibrant floral patterns specially when it's warm outside.  It makes me feel feminine  and romantic. There are so many ways to wear flower prints.  Just remember to choose the right pattern according to your body type. Tall women can get away with a larger print, but if you are a fuller-figured lady this print will only make you look bigger.  If you are petite you may just get lost.  Petite and fuller-figured women should stick to smaller print.

Also, don't be afraid to wear accessories. However, make sure you don't over do it.  Let the pattern speak by itself. If you are not comfortable wearing florals, stick to accessories. Maybe  a scarf, jewerly or shoes will do the trick for you.  The great news is that you can wear florals now and add tights, boots, cardigan or a blazer in the Fall!

El estampado floral se ha visto en muchas pasarelas de Primavero Verano 2010 y esta muy de moda en estos momentos. A mi me fascinan las flores en la ropa ya que te dan un toque femenino y romantico.  Si quieres comprarte algo con estampado floral asegurate de escoger el estampado de acuerdo al tipo de cuerpo que tengas. Si eres alta puedes llevar el estampado de las flores mas grande. Pero si eres llenita  evita las flores grandes, ya que te pueden hacer ver mas llenita.   Si eres bajita opta por el estampado de flores chicas.

No dejes de ponerte accesorios, pero evita llevarlos en exceso.  Si no te sientes comoda poniendote un vestido o una falda de flores, pero quieres estar a la moda, te recomiendo que lleves accesorios con flores.  Ya sea un sombrero, collares, sortijas, pañuelos o hasta zapatos.  Lo mejor de todo es que puedes usar el estampado floral ahorita y tambien en el Otoño.  Solo te pones botas,mallas, un blazer o un suéter  y listo!

An Affair With My J Brand Cargos

It all started a few months ago when I saw the J Brand Houlihan Skinny Cargo Pants at a floor display at Nordstrom.  I was completely taken by them as if I had just seen Tom Brady in front of me.  I couldn't help it, they had stolen my heart, and in a matter of minutes they became mine!  The fit and the color are just perfect.  I mean, the color is so different from all the other cargo pants I have seen, it is "vintage olive."  Even though they are a little long on me I love the way they fit.  They sit lower in the waist and they fit like your favorite pair of skinny jeans with the zipper going down your ankles.  I LOVE them.

Todo empezó hace meses cuando vi este pantalones cargos de J Brand .  Desde que los vi no podía quitarles la vista, era como si tuviera a Tom Brady al frente mío, bueno no tanto jajaja.  Fue amor a primera vista y obviamente me tuve que ir con ellos.  El color me encanta, es un tono verde olivo divino.  Y el estilo ni se diga, son pegaditos pero a la vez no pierden el "look" militar, super chic!

You can pretty much wear this cargo pants with anything, and I mean ANYTHING.  I decided to pair them with this lace top - loving the color -and  my off-white blazer.  I also wore my Caryssa pumps from Steve Madden.  The nude color is flawless, the style is classic and they are very comfortable.  I think everybody should own a pair of nude shoes - they go with absolutely everything.  What do you think, do you love cargo pants like me?

La verdad es que los pantalones cargo te pueden sacar de muchos apuros como los jeans.   Los puedes usar en la noche o en el día, dependiendo con que te lo pongas.  Para ir a cenar, yo me los puse con un "blazer" de H&M, un top de encaje y mis tacos de Steve Madden.  Estos son uno de mis zapatos preferidos, el color y el estilo son perfectos.  Que piensas de los pantalones cargo, te gustan?

On the Bright Side

Hope you had a great weekend! I have not been feeling well lately so I have been resting a lot. I am hoping to get better really soon so I can share with you the many things I have in mind!

Where do I start? I got this dress in March when the H&M "Garden Collection" came out.  I was so happy when I found it because every time I went to get it, it was sold out.   The best part is that it was only $19 and the dress is made from recycled polyester.  This dress may be too bright for some people, but I LOVE all the colors. It puts me in such a good mood. I wanted to pair the dress with some wedges, but my back was feeling a little sore so I decided to wear my Sam Edelman sandals instead .

Espero que hayas tenido un fin espectacular.  Lamentablemente yo me la pase en cama todo el fin de semana, ya que he estado un poco  enferma.  Pero espero recuperarme pronto para compartir con ustedes muchas cosas.

Te cuento que me compre este vestido en marzo cuando salió la colección "Garden" de H&M.  Cuando finalmente lo pude tener en mis mano, estaba feliz como una lombriz, jajaja. Y no es para menos, ya que había ido a la tienda como 4 veces y siempre estaba agotado.  Quizás este vestido le parezca muy colorido a muchas pero a mi me encanta. Recuerdo que quería ponerme unas plataformas pero me dolía un poco la espalda así que mejor decidí ponerme mi sandalias de Sam Edelman.

When I walked into this Indian store I just fell in love with the colors, the furniture, the crafts, the clothes, everything is so well made and gorgeous.  I bought a few things and I can't wait to show you.

Chic and Sassy

I can't believe the weekend is finally here, it went by so fast!  The weather has been beautiful in the Bay Area, perfect to be outdoors.  I decided to put together an outfit, that you could wear to a picnic, wine tasting - Napa Valley sounds great right now - or to lunch with your girlfriends or significant other.  I love wearing maxi skirts, I have been wearing them for years. There is something dramatic about them, the way they move as you walk screams sexy! They have been all over the runways lately and you will continue to see them through Fall.  What do you think about maxi skirts, do you like them?

Me parece mentira que ya es viernes, el tiempo se esta pasando volando.  El clima ha estado precioso en el area de la bahia ultimamente. My Wish List ... August

Today I decided to make my "wish list."  I know, I know,  it's not Christmas yet and my birthday already passed.  But I just wanted to share the things that I am loving right now with all of you!  I have been eyeing this Parker dress for a few weeks now. It looks so romantic, and I love the way the sleeves hang. The Joie boots are just to die for. I mean, look at them...WOW! The necklace just screams rock and roll. I could picture myself wearing it with a simple white t-shirt and boyfriend jeans - simply FAB. I also love this crop cargo pants.  The last thing on my wish list is the Betsey Johnson clutch. The color is just perfect!

Hoy  decidí crear una lista de las cosas que me encantan.  Ya se, todavía no es Navidad y mi cumpleaños ya paso, pero no me pude contener… jajaja. Este vestido se me hace tan  un romántico, las mangas me fascinan y el color también. Las botas ni se digan, se imaginan con un vestidito o una jeans pegaditos, WOW!!! El collar habla por si solo, es bien roquero y divino.   Estos cargos, los he visto hace semanas, y cada vez me gustan más. Y para terminar con mi lista de “caprichos” les muestro esta carterita fucsia que me enloquece…mmm ahora solo me queda soñar. ¿ Y a ti hay algo que te quite el sueño ultimamente?

Boho-Chic anyone?

When I stepped out wearing this outfit I felt as if I was in the 70's. There was something magical about this outifit.  I was even called "Cher" by a homeless guy at the beach...hahaha.  I just can't help but fall in love with the 70's style.  Everything was SO perfect!  When I look at my mom's and  dad's pictures I just want to go back in time.  I could stare at my mom's dresses, pants, skirts, tops, shoes forever...  Everything she wore was SO chic!

Ni bien me puse este "outfit" me sentí como si estuviera viviendo en los 70's. ¿Puedes creer que  hasta me llamaron "Cher?" jajaja, quizas haya sido el color de cabello, o los jeans sueltos de Miss Sixty que llevaba.  La verdad es que el estilo de los 70's era unico y envidiable, cuando veo fotos de mis papas, no hago mas que soñar despierta. Mi mama siempre se veía chic, ya sea cuando se ponía sus vestidos largos, sus pantalones acampanados, y ni que se diga de sus zapatos, todo era  un sueño.

Clogs bring back great memories, I remember that my aunt Pilar bought me my first pair of clogs when I was 7.  They were chocolate leather brown with holes.  They were fabulous!  So, as soon as I stepped into this Jefrey Campbell clogs you know I was in heaven.  I added a blouse, which to me,  is the perfect cut, material and color.  Just lovely.  To complete the laid-back look I wore my Miss Sixty jeans and my Stephanie DVF bag.  I was happier than ever. What do you think about the 70's style? Would love to read your comments.

Los suecos me traen tantas memorias, recuerdo que mi tia Pilar  me compro mi primer par cuando tenia apenas 7 años.  Eran de color marron con huequitos y por supuesto eran mis zapatos preferidos.  Por eso cuando me puse estos suecos de Jeffrey Campbell me senti en las nubes.   Para completar el look "relax" añadi esta blusa de seda de color anaranjado, miss jeans de Miss Sixty y una de mis carteras preferidas de Diane von Furstenberg. ¿Te gusta la moda de los 70's? Romantic, Dreamy, Sexy, that's the Maxi dress

I am literally obsessed with maxi dresses!  I lost count of how many I have hanging in my closet.  I think there is something about long and flowy dresses that capture my desire to wear them. Our first reaction is to think that long dresses are for night only. But that is not true when you have bright, patterned unexpected dresses like the ones above.   As soon as you step into this long frock, I promise you will feel feminine, romantic and sexy all at the same time.  You can wear the maxi dress with either flats or heels, depending on the look you want to go for.  Add just a few accessories and you are ready to conquer the world. A definitely must have for summer!

Que mejor manera que pasar una tarde de verano que vistiendo un vestido largo como uno de los de arriba.  Imaginate con el cabello suelto, unos lentes de sol, unos aretes largos y pulseras, WOW, serias la envidia te toda chica.
